Articles of Faith

I. The Scriptures.

Verbally, supernaturally inspired; inerrant; preserved; King James only.

II. The True God.

Only one true, living God; the Trinity.

III. God The Son.

Virgin born, redeemer of sinful man, God in flesh.

IV. The Holy Spirit.

Equal with God the Son and the Father; glorifies Jesus; convicts, comforts, seals, empowers the believer.

V. The Devil, or Satan.

Created in a holy, honorable state; fell through pride; now God’s enemy and man’s tempter; destined to punishment in the lake of fire.

VI. The Creation.

All things created in 6 literal 24-hour days from nothing.

VII. The Fall of Man.

Man was created in perfection and innocence; voluntarily fell making all men condemned sinners.

VIII. The Virgin Birth.

Jesus was preexistent from eternity past; was made flesh through a miraculous birth of a virgin; and is, therefore, the sinless Son of God and God incarnate.

IX. The Atonement For Sin.

Only by the blood of Jesus Christ (not merely His death), by His grace through faith in Him, can man be cleansed from sin.

X. The Resurrection.

Jesus rose bodily from the grave on the third day according to the Scriptures.

XI. Grace in the New Creation.

Sinners must be born again as a creation in Christ Jesus by the free gift of God apart from any work on our part. God’s grace continues in the believer’s life producing fruit, faith, and newness of life.

XII. The Freeness of Salvation.

The blessings of salvation are free for all by the Gospel by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

XIII. Justification.

Through Christ we have pardon of sin and eternal life by the imputed righteousness of God.

XIV. Repentance and Faith.

Repentance and faith as inseparable obligations wrought in man by the convicting of the Holy Spirit of God. Together they cause man to turn from sin to God for salvation.

XV. The Eternal Security of the Saints.

All believers are kept by the power of God and are secure in Christ. Salvation cannot be lost.

XVI. The Return of Christ And Related Events.

We believe in the literal interpretation of prophetic events relating to Jesus’ bodily return to earth. We are pre-tribulational and pre-millenial.

XVII. The Righteous and the Wicked.

Only those justified by faith in Jesus Christ are truly righteous. God views all others as wicked and under the curse of sin.

XVIII. Separation.

The Christian life is to be displayed by separation from worldly conduct, interests, philosophies, and unions.

XIX. The Church.

Local, visible, autonomous, congregation of baptized believers. As Baptist we hold no other creed but the Word of God and no obligation higher than fulfillment of Christ’s Great Commission to reach the world with the Gospel.

XX. Scriptural Ordinances of Baptism and Communion.

Jesus gave only two ordinances to the church – baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is only by immersion in water, and the Lord’s Supper is partaking of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine. Neither ordinance secures any measure of saving grace for the sinner.

XXI. Missions.

The church’s responsibility to preach the Gospel is to be carried out by the financial and prayerful support of missionaries.

XXII. The Grace of Giving.

God's program for financing the execution of His Great Commission is through the tithes and offerings of every believer to their church.

XXIII. Our Stand Against Undermining Trends.

We stand against the charismatic (tongues) movement, the ecumenical movement, neo-evangelicalism, and neo-orthodoxy.
